How AI customer service agents charge
21 of the 31 AI customer service agents we track price only by quote. Aircall AI Voice Agent, Dialpad AI Receptionist, echowin, Newo.ai, Phonely, Vida and Zendesk voice AI agents publish their rates. Five9 AI Agents, Genesys Cloud Virtual Agents and Salesforce Agentforce Voice publish seat or platform prices but not a rate for the AI agent itself. Crescendo, Decagon, Fin Voice, Parloa, Sierra and Zendesk voice AI agents tie at least part of the price to resolutions or outcomes.
The unit matters as much as the rate. A per-resolution price only bills when the AI solves the problem; a per-minute price bills for the whole call; a seat price follows the size of your human team. Here is how each vendor says it charges.

Questions
How much does an AI customer service agent cost?
Most vendors quote on request. The published rates: Aircall AI Voice Agent charges $0.49 a minute pay as you go ($0.39 past 2,500 minutes) or prepaid bundles from $175 for 500 minutes, with no Aircall phone plan required. Dialpad AI Receptionist charges $1.99 per billable voice conversation and $0.99 per chat or text from prepaid credits, on its contact-center channels. echowin charges by the minute, from $10 a month. Newo.ai charges per unit (about one voice call each), from pay as you go to $299 a month for 200 units. Phonely charges by the minute, with a free plan. Vida's entry rate is $0.15 a minute; the AI model is billed separately. Its pricing page doesn't say whether speech recognition, the voice and phone minutes are included. Zendesk voice AI agents charges per human agent seat, from $55 a month billed annually, plus $1.50 to $2.00 per automated resolution, $0.005 a minute while the AI agent is connected, and telephony.
What's the difference between per-conversation and per-resolution pricing?
Per-conversation pricing charges for each conversation the AI handles, whether or not it solves the problem. Per-resolution or outcome pricing charges only when the AI resolves the issue or reaches an agreed result, usually at a higher rate per unit. Ask each vendor how it decides a conversation was resolved and whether escalated or abandoned calls count.
Why don't most AI customer service vendors publish prices?
They sell to contact centers, where price depends on volume, channels, integrations and contract length. ASAPP, Assort Health, Cresta, Giga, Kore.ai, NiCE Cognigy, Observe.AI, Posh, Regal, Talkdesk AI Agents, Uniphore Self-Service Agent and Yellow.ai don't publish a pricing unit either.
