Quo Sona (formerly OpenPhone)
AI receptionists
Sona is the AI phone agent built into Quo, the small-business cloud phone system formerly called OpenPhone. Added as a step in a Quo call flow, it answers inbound calls, responds from a knowledge base the business provides, takes messages, qualifies leads, texts booking links and transfers callers to staff. Paid Quo plans include about 10 Sona calls a month, and larger monthly call bundles are sold as an add-on.

- Contract: Sona tiers are billed monthly on top of the Quo subscription; credits refresh monthly, including on annual Quo plans
- Sona requires a paid Quo phone plan. Quo's pricing page lists Starter at $19/user/month ($15 billed annually), Business at $33 ($23 annually) and Scale at $47 ($35 annually). Each plan includes 1,000 automation credits; one Sona call uses 100 credits and calls under 15 seconds are not counted. With overages off (the default), Sona stops answering when credits run out and calls follow the call flow's fallback path. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing period. Buying a paid tier requires online (Stripe) billing, not an Apple subscription, and Admin or Owner rights. Quo's blog says there are no onboarding fees.
