Deepgram Voice Agent API
Deepgram’s Voice Agent API is a single real-time API that combines Deepgram speech-to-text, LLM orchestration and text-to-speech for developers building their own voice agents. Deepgram’s docs show it answering and placing phone calls through the developer’s own Twilio or Plivo account; it is an API, not a ready-made agent. Billing is per minute of connection time, from $0.075 on pay as you go, with lower rates when the customer brings its own LLM or voice.
Deepgram Voice Agent API pricing
Deepgram Voice Agent API's entry rate is $0.07 a minute with the lowest-priced AI model; others cost more. It includes speech recognition and the voice. Phone minutes are billed separately.

- Contract: Pay As You Go has no minimums; Growth is prepaid annual credit from $4,000 a year; Enterprise is negotiated
- Deepgram bills the Voice Agent API per minute of WebSocket connection time. The Standard rate ($0.075/min on Pay As You Go, $0.068 on Growth) covers Deepgram’s own stack; the product page calls it ‘flat-rate pricing at $4.50/hr’ with lower rates when customers bring their own models. The LLM sets the tier: Deepgram’s docs place each managed model in Standard (for example GPT-4o mini, GPT-5 mini, Claude Haiku 4.5, Gemini 2.5 Flash) or Advanced (for example GPT-4o, GPT-5, Claude Sonnet 4.5), and Advanced costs $0.163/min on Pay As You Go. Bringing your own TTS, LLM or both lowers the rate; the pricing page lists no Pay As You Go rate for bring-your-own LLM alone. Managed Cartesia voices are included in the Standard tier. Telephony is not on the pricing page: Deepgram’s phone guides use the customer’s own Twilio (or Plivo) account and numbers. Growth requires prepaid annual credit (‘$4K+’) and saves up to 20%.
